Built around a simple rule: diagnose before you change.
Audit My KDP exists for indie authors who are tired of receiving disconnected advice about covers, keywords, categories, pricing, and ads without first knowing which part of the listing is actually limiting growth.
Publishing experience should produce better questions—not bigger promises.
The audit is informed by hands-on KDP publishing experience, but it is deliberately structured to avoid treating one person's results as a guarantee for someone else's book.
That is why the workflow begins with identity and evidence checks, separates performance from coverage, and uses NED when something cannot be verified. The goal is a more defensible diagnosis, not a more dramatic sales pitch.
Do not replace a strong asset just because optimization feels productive. Do not buy more traffic until the listing can make good use of it. Do not score evidence that is not actually there.
Three things the audit is designed to protect.
Evidence
Recommendations should trace back to the listing, the book's context, or client-supplied evidence—not generic rules.
Priority
An audit should tell you what matters first, what can wait, and what is already strong enough to leave alone.
Honesty
No guarantees of sales, rank, bestseller status, royalties, or ad outcomes. Missing evidence is not dressed up as certainty.
The Resource Center is part of the same philosophy.
Each guide teaches a useful diagnostic principle on its own. If you can solve the problem yourself, that is a good outcome. If you need the listing evaluated as a system, the KDP Growth Audit is the next step.
Diagnose first. Change second.
Before you replace a cover, rewrite metadata, change pricing, or spend more on ads, find out what the evidence actually supports.
